What is Dewaxed Coffee?

The cortical part of the raw green coffee bean is covered with a natural wax, completely harmless, but difficult to assimilate and digest by our intestine. Although much of this wax is removed during roasting, what remains can irritate the stomach lining in particularly sensitive people.
With dewaxing, the bean loses this natural wax and some of the caffeine, making it smoother and more digestible, while retaining all the notes and taste of a high quality coffee bean.
